Wreaths
There are wreaths for almost all kinds of major celebrations, including Thanksgiving. Opt for a style made of brown twigs intertwined with small autumn-colored fruits and vegetables hanging in concentric fashion. A large harvest-themed wreath hung on the front door is a great way to greet visitors for Turkey Day. Wreaths also look wonderful above fireplaces and on division walls.

Decals
Wall and window decals have also become very popular decorations, not only during Thanksgiving, but also during other holidays. They’re easy to install and remove; they don’t leave any residue on the walls. There are hundreds of artful designs and styles that will certainly bring the spirit of Thanksgiving Day to the house!

Around the Home
Some homeowners put twigs, gourds, and various leaves on tabletops throughout the house. Others arrange fall plants in earthenware pottery, accompanied by mirrors in rustic wooden frames placed thoughtfully on wall shelves or low square tables. Brown, orange, deep red, or gold candles are wonderful when placed in sconces. You can even find corn or pumpkin shaped candles for added charm!

Centerpieces
You have several options for your centerpieces. For a traditional approach, you can have several kinds of vegetables bunched together lying on a bed of silk leaves. Thanksgiving wreaths can serve as candle holders atop a festive runner. Use pillar candles on simple trays or artisan candelabras to had a festive glow. Big ceramic or clay pots full of fall flowering plants neatly arranged are always nice. Fall fruits with sunflowers, mums or other fall flowers arranged on decorative tray complement the feast. A brightly colored rattan tray full of colorful fall fruits stacked on top of each other is another classic centerpiece.

Modern centerpieces include metal or glass turkeys, cornucopias, or pilgrims. A new twist is to have favorite toys assembled together with western, cosmic, futuristic or retro motifs. In addition, paper cut outs or paper dolls with Thanksgiving motifs are an affordable and popular standby that the whole family will have fun making together.

Mantels
Take precious photographs and other mementos on the mantel and surround them with the vegetables and fruits of an Autumn harvest. Another option is to use autumn leaves of yellow, red, orange and gold, covering the top of the fireplace with tiny amber string lights illuminating them?

The ideas never end. It’s really up to the homeowners what catches their fancy. The most important thing is the spirit of Thanksgiving Day is alive and well. Any autumn colors will do within a well planned design. Remember that any Thanksgiving trim will only add to the warmth of family and friends gathered together in your home.
